DKDTDJ – Thomas

The South Loop in late 90’s Chicago was not entirely gentrified. Many high-rise buildings were still under construction. The mayor lived around the corner in a modest home and heavy police presence so that was fun.

DKDTDJ was determined to make modern music using electronics and a subtractive approach to composition aided by random computations. From the chaos of any algorithmically generated nonsense there must be a song.

Every block of stone has a statue inside, and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it.

The ghost of Dylan Thomas loomed large as his voice was added to select tracks.
