It is a cliche every generation looks back at earlier generations and thinks WTF about their music. Part of it is romanticism and selective memories as most pop songs was certainly terrible when you were young.
Here is a small sample of cool songs the new kids on the block are doing right here and right now that resonate with The Critic.
Tapaboka – La Ley
I know “La Ley” is “The Law”. The performance speaks for itself.
FLAG – Sissy Spacey
FLAGS hustled hard in Austin but are alas no more. The video is great. Can we convince them to do a reunion?
Thrax Punks – The Tree
I have it on authority the chorus starts with “I water it with black tears”. Greek music is dark.
Bella Peron – Enlighten
Let’s mix it up. Maybe the punk aesthetic not your jam? How about a young guitar hero to make Yngwie Malmsteen jelly?
